🏕️ Troop 94 Adventure at Camp Rockfish! 🧭🔥 Troop 94 had an awesome weekend at Camp Rockfish, packed with adventure, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities to practice Scout skills! Our Scouts tackled the Low COPE group challenge course, working together, communicating, solving problems, and learning that a patrol can accomplish much more when everyone contributes. 💪 We also spent time sharpening our orienteering skills, learning about backpacking stoves, and putting our fire-building abilities to the test by starting fires with wet wood. Nothing like a good challenge to build confidence and resourcefulness! Of course, no Scout campout would be complete without some good cooking. Each patrol worked together to prepare their meals, and we enjoyed some fantastic Dutch oven cooking along the way. 🍲🥘 We finished things off with an awesome evening campfire, a great way to gather together after a full day of Scouting, fellowship, and adventure. 🔥⚜️ A

Congratulations to Troop 94 Eagle Scout and alumnus, and Sea Scout Ship 94 member, Tyler on being selected for the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow, Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge #70, Old North State Council! The Vigil Honor is the highest recognition the Order of the Arrow can bestow upon its members for exceptional service, leadership, and unselfish dedication to the Lodge, Council, and the entire Scouting movement. Each year, only a select few Arrowmen are chosen, with no more than two percent of a lodge's membership eligible for selection. At least half of those selected must be youth members under the age of 21. The Vigil Honor is not something that can be earned through personal ambition. Instead, it is bestowed by one's fellow Arrowmen in recognition of distinguished service beyond the responsibilities of any position or office. This summer, Scouts from Troops 94B and 94G proudly represented our troop by serving on the Camp Cherokee staff for 8 weeks of camp! Seven of our Scouts took on important roles across camp, working in the Dining Hall, Trading Post, First-Year Camper Program, Scoutcraft, Life Science, and the Headquarters Building. Their dedication helped create an unforgettable summer experience for hundreds of Scouts attending camp. Beyond their daily responsibilities, they also played key roles in flag ceremonies, evening campfires, and twilight programs, demonstrating leadership, service, and Scout spirit from sunrise to lights out. Serving on camp staff is more than just a summer job-it's an opportunity to develop leadership skills, build lifelong friendships, and give back to the Scouting program that has given so much to them. 🏕️ Troop 94 Summer Camp Adventure at Camp Daniel Boone! 🏔️ What an incredible week our Scouts had at Camp Daniel Boone in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina! Throughout the week, our Scouts challenged themselves by earning merit badges, learning new skills, and growing in confidence and leadership. Even after long days of activities, they tackled the mountain trails with enthusiasm, hiking up and down the camp each day while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The fun didn't stop there! The troop enjoyed fishing, memorable campfire ceremonies filled with songs and Scout spirit, and one evening prepared a delicious Dutch oven meal together, followed by everyone's favorite campfire treat - s'mores! 🍽️🔥🍫 Summer camp is about so much more than earning badges. ⚡ Congratulations to the Scouts of Troop 94 on earning the Electricity Merit Badge this past month at VFW Post 9103 in Spring Lake! Throughout the merit badge, our Scouts gained a deeper understanding of how electricity powers our everyday lives. They explored electrical safety, learned the difference between alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC), and discovered how electricity is generated and distributed from power plants to homes and businesses. The Scouts also identified common electrical hazards, discussed ways to prevent electrical accidents, and learned how to respond safely in the event of an electrical emergency. As part of the badge, they practiced reading electrical meters and wiring diagrams, explored careers in the electrical industry, and completed hands-on activities to better understand electrical circuits and components. What a fantastic week at Sandhills District Day Camp! 🦖🦕🦅 A huge shoutout to the Scouts of Troop 94 for volunteering throughout the week at Jurassic Sandhills, held at Spout Springs Church in Cameron, NC. Our Scouts stepped up in a big way, helping make camp an unforgettable experience for our Cub Scouts. From leading arts & crafts, STEM, to assisting with archery, America 250, Scouting traditions, and games, they demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, and Scout spirit every single day. Together, our Scouts and adult leaders racked up an incredible 663 combined service hours over the course of the week, an amazing testament to their dedication and commitment to serving others. Their willingness to mentor younger Scouts, lend a helping hand, and serve as positive role models truly embodied the Scout Oath and Law. This past weekend, Scouts from Troop 94 participated in conservation service projects at, a century-old family farm with a rich history and strong ties to the community. Our Scouts spent the day helping plant apple and peach trees around the farm, contributing to the preservation and future growth of this special property. Jackson Farm also supports veterans through the “Soldiers to Agriculture” program, which provides agricultural training and opportunities for transitioning service members. We are proud of our Scouts for giving back through service, conservation, and support of programs that make a difference in the lives of veterans and our local community.
