Troop 94 had a busy and productive weekend at Camp Durant. Scouts spent the weekend earning the Robotics Merit Badge, learning about design, programming, and problem-solving. The badge wrapped up with a high-energy robotics competition that put their hard work to the test. They also practiced real-world Scout skills—building campfires with wet wood, cooking on backpacking stoves in preparation for an upcoming trip, and making solid progress on rank requirements. Today we salute two outstanding Scouts - Chason and Jaden - on earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting! This achievement is not simply a badge upon the chest, but a testament to years of perseverance, leadership, service, and cheerful determination. The Eagle rank is earned by only a small percentage of Scouts, and it stands as a symbol of character, courage, and commitment to community. Chason and Jaden have demonstrated the very spirit of Scouting through their hard work, their service projects, and their leadership within Troop 94. They have lived the Scout Oath and Law in word and deed - and in doing so, have set a fine example for every younger Scout who follows the trail behind them. ⚜️ Congratulations to Dakota on Completing NYLT! ⚜️ Please join us in congratulating Dakota on successfully completing National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) at Camp Cherokee! This outstanding leadership course began over Christmas break and concluded over MLK weekend, demanding dedication, resilience, and true Scout spirit throughout. Along the way, Dakota faced winter conditions head-on and earned an impressive 18 Frost Points, a testament to perseverance and preparedness in cold-weather camping. NYLT equips Scouts with advanced leadership skills they will carry back to their troop and into all areas of life, and Dakota rose admirably to the challenge. ⚜️ Winter Blast at Camp Durant – Well Done, Troop 94! ⚜️ This past weekend, a hardy group of Scouts from Troop 94 answered the call of adventure and learning by attending Winter Blast at Camp Durant. Braving the cold with cheerful spirit and steady determination, they made excellent use of their time sharpening skills and expanding their knowledge. Throughout the weekend, these Scouts worked diligently on a wide range of merit badges, including: Search and Rescue, Wood Carving, Aviation, Rifle Shooting, Astronomy, Indian Lore, Citizenship in the Community and more! From learning how to serve their communities, to studying the stars above, to mastering hands-on outdoor and technical skills, each Scout demonstrated the true spirit of Scouting—prepared, curious, and eager to learn. And as a true test of winter hardiness, the Scouts proudly earned 2 Frost Points when temperatures dipped below freezing one night, proving once again that a

🌲🔥 Troop Campout at Camp Cherokee! 🔥🌲

This past weekend, Troop 94 Scouts had a fantastic time at Camp Cherokee! They completed Wilderness First Aid training, cooked tasty meals with Dutch ovens, foil packets, and campfires, and of course made s’mores and campfire pies using a sandwich press.

They also practiced wood chopping, played some fun board games, and wrapped up with a conservation service project to give back to camp.

🌊 Shout-out to the Scouts of Troop 94! 🐠

A big bravo to the Scouts who took the plunge this weekend at the Council sponsored SCUBA event held at Gypsy Divers Aquatic Center in Raleigh! These young adventurers explored new depths—literally—while building skills, confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Troop 94 continues to dive into exciting and challenging outdoor experiences that go beyond the ordinary. Whether it’s beneath the surface or high on a mountain trail, these Scouts are always up for the next big adventure!
